Since I am an admin an several other forums, I recommend a few things that would help.
1) Place a separation line between the announcements/stickies and the topics. This separation is useful in allowing ease of reading.
2) Widen the forums about 15% and push the font size for everything up a point or two. This will make reading them easier.
3) Get some separation on your main page. I would recommend that you go into the admin panel, hit the general tab, choose catagories and forums, and break things up a bit. From the looks on your front page, everything is either a catagory or a forum. If you break it up a bit and use separation devices, you end up with different boxes of areas of information that is a bit easier on the eyes.
