Smooth looking finish from the photo. Are you using a "wipe on" poly?

I received the nose piece in the mail today. it was really bad shape. spent half hour polishing it out with brasso. when I most of the trash off it. I hit it with a dremel with an buffing wheel and buff the rest out. you can see your self in it. Laughing

Being the admin for a .45 forum, your next project should be a .45. Green Mountain barrel...nice!

Any idea where you might be headed with bullet selection for that .45? (Tough decision on twist selection)

if I can get an 1-28 flint be cool, most I have seen have been 1-60 with the 45cal, prb it the best to start with, play with pb's and other conicals to see if I can get them to work. may catch a break someone sales an 1-28

A 1:32 or faster should be fine for conicals. I've heard that the T/C Haxi-hunter bullet in 255 grain shoot well in those twists.
