This is just an fyi...

I'm always looking on the new technology market for state-of-the-art .45 cal. smokegun bullets that will prove to be both accurate on the bench and effective on game. After all, isn't that what we all want?

Got a new .45 Knight

Couldn’t resist – at the deer show in Lansing last week. Never had a knight before but always wanted to try one of the Green Mountain Barrels and Timmeny triggers. I think this will be my 23 year old daughters gun. NEW -.45 Knight Disc Extreme SS fluted barrel, Leupold mounts, Alum hard case, 3-9 Tasco (I think I’ll upgrade later) $295 for all. Trigger breaks at 3lbs 6oz and I thinks it is adjustable, looking forward to more shooting. The 200 shockwave was ...

Got out today to shoot the new 45 cal.

Mounted a 2.5-10x40 Bushnell Elite 4200 using Durasight mounts.

After getting her on paper I shot these two 5 shot groups with two different bullets & charges. This was at 50 yds only. Then it started to snow heavy and they closed the range. The 180gr XTPs which came with a tan sabot loaded with extreme difficulty from a clean barrel. It only got marginally better with a fouled bore. The Barnes loaded slightly easier. I have no Harvesters or ...
